Astro B.yond Bloggers Night, a night like no other.

CHAPTER 1: Pre-party Apprehension


Alone, nausea, nervous.. pyschotic ..(psychotic? I was psyched!) I had to check my watch several times to make sure I’d make it to Hartamas before the traffic jam starts. I was planning to rush straight to Desa Sri Hartamas right after work. I had to make sure I had a place to do my maghrib prayers before 7:30pm that night. The only place I had in mind was the Shell Petrol Station.

Right? Petrol stations are common places to at least accommodate praying rooms. I can’t be wrong. My intuitions should be correct! Right? Errr……..

Dang! I was disappointed!

I drove straight to Modesto’s. Looked for ‘free’ parking place not that far away from it and began my quest for an adequate praying room to crash. Searched high and low. (Ok, aku tipu.. I went into the first building I saw.Haha. ) To my surprise…… as I asked the KFC workers where to find a place to pray, they simply pointed their fingers upwards. Fortunately there was a very small praying room on the second floor. Relieved!

Time: 7:00pm

Waited.. waited…. Washed myself….. prayed…. Droned my senses down. And I got ready.

Ready for what?

To attend my very first NUFFNANG Event!!!

CHAPTER 2: The all too new experience. The Bar.

I queued up with another blogger named TiniHani at the welcoming counter (suka-suki je aku bagi nama. Haha) Registered my name and received a goody bag in return. Whoa!

Then from the light we went into darkness. Being metaphoric here. =p

Dark. Loud music. People. People everywhere! And I don’t even know a single soul!

Guess I had to use my endearing people skills. Lalala…

CHAPTER 3: The Refreshments


Dear Modesto’s…… it is to my delight to have finally dined in your restaurant. The thin crusted pizza? Amazing! The free flowing FREE drinks? You gotta be kidding me! I got drunk with coca-cola and sprite (Mind you, I don’t drink.. ekekeke) And this?

Jaws dropping and mouth watering. Maybe because it’s free? Ehehe.. I give you 7 out of 10. =)

CHAPTER 4: The Entertainment


The event was to promote the Astro B.yond experience. Having HD (High-definition) quality right from your living room TV via astro broadcasting. Hua! Hua! Hua! Even RTM can't top this. Hoh!

There was a game to win the Astro B.yond Box with FREE subscription to Astro B.yond HD channels until 2010 and a 32” LG HD TV. A mystery game where everyone who played had to solve a murder mystery to find the murderer! We played in teams of five people. The best team gets to go on to the next step and one person out of the five members will bring home the prize!

I joined.

We lost. I lost.

Oh well….

Life goes on. Hoho… Congratz ERIC! So jealous!

FINAL CHAPTER: The Company


I never heard your names before. I didn’t know the mere existence of your blogs until that very night. Nara included. Wakakaka.. I’m a newbie and you guys (women included) rock my blogging world!
