How to spend money to make money?

I'm in a predicament where I got some money more than I ever had in my bank account (less then 10k) and I'm vent on spending it to gain more money. Some of the options that I thought over was...

1. Buy a Macbook Pro and invest more time and creativity on my blog which is currently earning me some passive income. Thank god to that. Heee..
2. Buy physical gold for long-term investment. 
3. Open a Maybank Gold Investment Account and see where that leads me down the road.
4. Buy a house? Well, I don't think I'll be thinking about this anymore. Too much commitment at the moment. Hee.
5. Last but not least.... Start a BUSINESS!!! I've been drilling about this idea for so long now and it seems promising. Contacted some suppliers and I might start something this year. InsyaAllah.

So having a sum of money less than 10k should not tempt me to spend all of it away on mindless things such as new clothes, new gadgets, handbags and such. I must spend money to earn money! And that's what I call a good investment. Right?

InsyaAllah... my planning will fall through. Amin. =)
